Providing information to better understand how to help people who are struggling with narcotics addictions is very much needed in this present time, because the incidence of such addictions is increasing at an alarming rate. Educated Christian servants cannot just idley watch from the sidelines, but must actively do their part to resolve this difficult problem. Information about addiction counseling must include the types of narcotics that cause addictions, reasons people take narcotics and become addicted and the untoward effects of such addictions. This paper will also discuss principles of helping addicts, including those from a Christian perspective. This paper will use descriptive research gained from available library resources. Although many of the principles cited in this paper have been used by the author, this article is not a report of the author |
