Communication is a very vital factor in a healthy marriage between man and woman as they together build a Christian family. Communication after a couple has just gotten married gives them many challenges as they try to fit their lives together, with each coming from a different background and having different expectations for how they will live and work together. Even after several years of marriage they still need to have open communication between them because of the challenges that marriage normally brings. Among these are their together starting a family, their children growing up, their parents and in-laws getting older and moving in to their home as well as each partner having differing ways of communication, some of them less than perfect. They need to learn about healthy ways of communicating with each other. They also need to learn how to handle unavoidable conflict in a healthy way. There are 6 principles of handling conflict well that they can incorporate into their marriage. Communication in marriage is of the utmost importance and needs to be a high priority between husbands and wives for their whole life together. |
